 The Walsh Building Company

Paul Williams is the owner of the Walsh Building Company (the company name is taken from his mother's maiden name). Paul first came to New Braunfels in 1984, and realized, like so many others, that this was the place he wanted to call home. In the late 1970’s, Paul had started his career building new homes with a local contractor, and soon started his own building and remodeling business in Houston, Texas. A commercial construction firm, engaged in large scale State, Federal, and Private construction projects, later recruited him to fill a Project Manager position, where he was responsible for estimating project costs, contract administration, and overall project management. In 1989, as Vice President of the firm, he was assigned the responsibility of establishing a branch office to better serve the South Central Texas region. Paul moved to New Braunfels and began working with area architects and general contractors in the planning and construction of numerous multimillion dollar facilities, including The State Capitol Preservation Project and the AT&T Center/ Spurs Arena. In 1993 Paul accepted a position with the Facilities and Engineering Department of MGM Grand Hotels and Casinos, which was currently under construction in Las Vegas, Nevada. While working with MGM, Paul, his wife, and two daughters began searching for the perfect Texas home site. While commuting between Las Vegas and New Braunfels, he worked with a local architect to develop plans for their new home. In 1997 he returned as a full time resident, and began construction of his family’s home. Soon after, he established The Walsh Building Company. Since returning to New Braunfels Paul has also served on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity, became a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and acted as Director of the Thorn Hill Property Owners Association. Paul is proud to have called New Braunfels his home for many years now.
